OYAA Football is open to all 1st - 6th graders who live within the boundaries of the Olentangy School District.
Children who live outside the school district and wish to play OYAA football need to e-mail the
OYAA Football Commissioner. The tackle program starts the first week in August for practice,
games start Labor Day weekend and end the first weekend in November.
The Flag program starts the middle of August for practice; games are played September through October. All GAMES are played on Sunday afternoons.
Fall 2008 Football registration will open on June 1 and end on JULY 17. All
3rd-6th grade players must attend one of the assessments on June 8 or July 13 at
SuperKick, July 17 at the Liberty HS Football camp or July 24 at the Olentangy
HS Football camp.
Flag football
participants have no evaluations and we attempt to keep players on a team from
their school or neighborhood as is possible.
We always need head coaches in Flag
leagues. Please consider volunteering
for your son’s team.

OYAA Football strives to have evenly matched
teams and the assessment process makes the selection of teams fair and
consistent. Only a head coach and ONE assistant can request to be paired
together. Sibling are also placed on the same team. NO other same team request
will be honored to assure fair and equitable player distribution. In 2008, the
league plans to separate all leagues by east and west so practices will be close
and carpool partners will be available.
For the 2008 season, the fee is $75.00 for 1st and 2nd graders in flag football.
Players will receive shorts, team jersey, socks and a mouth guard. We will play
8 on 8 (numbers permitting) with approximately 12 players per team.
OYAA Football is in need of volunteers to help coordinate the flag leagues.
For the 2008 season, the fee is $140.00 for 3rd through 6th graders in tackle
football.
Players will receive helmets, shoulder pads, team jersey, socks, mouth guard and
helmet decals. There will be separate 3rd, 4th, 5th
and 6th grade leagues number permitting. Team rosters will have 18
or less players. The ball-carrying weight limits are 80 lbs. for 3rd, 90 lbs for
4th, 120 lbs. in 5th and 130 lbs. in the 6th grade league. OYAA
Football needs volunteers to help coordinate all age groups.

We have also put a maximum of $325.00
in fees for a family with multiple players.
