OYAA Fall Programming Update

To clarify - while OYAA would like to see everyone wear their mask as much as possible, we are following the guidelines outlined by ODH, Responsible RestartOhio - masks to be worn by athletes (age ten or older) while NOT engaged in play on the field.

Hello OYAA:

Thank you for your patience as we waited for and have worked through the new health Order issued by Governor DeWine. We are excited to share that we will be able to have our fall season for outdoor sports. Below is the information for your sport.

Please know that we will adhere to the Order. But we need your help as parents. Masks are required by all spectators and we are asking that all of our young participants wear their masks while they are practicing and playing. We do know that OHSAA allow for the masks to be removed while athletes are engaged / active in a drill. We would like to ask that our players where them as much as possible. We want to have a season and we want to have a full season. If we each do our own part by keeping our masks on – then our chances become greater to be able to play into the fall.

Spectator capacity – we believe if we only allow parents and siblings who cannot stay home alone in attendance, then we should be in compliance. Please help us out by limiting spectators to the games. There is to be no “tail-gating” or snacks to be shared before/after the games.  We need you to come to the game and immediately leave so that the next teams on can begin their warm-up and again – limiting the number of people in attendance.

Refunds – this is outlined on our website. Before you pay to complete your registration, please make sure that you read and clearly understand our refund policy

NEEDED: To comply with the Order, we need one volunteer of your son/daughter’s team to be the “social distance” coordinator. This duty will help our players remain 6’ apart on the sidelines during the game. It would help all of us if you as parents remind your child to maintain their distance, and if you see they are too close remind them to move further away.

We know changes may need to be made as we navigate through our fall season. We ask for your patience and your understanding. We all want our kids back out on the fields and in the gyms. It is up to us to control what we can control. Let's come together and make this an outstanding, fun and memorable season for all our kids.

Football and soccer participants will be added from the wait list as we have room. You must remit payment by the deadline in the email notification or your order will be canceled.
