You must indicate this on both player registrations; Final approval at the discretion of the Director of Soccer.  Children of the head coach and assistant coach will be assigned to their team.  REQUESTS TO PLAY FOR A SPECIFIC COACH OR BE ON THE SAME TEAM WITH A FRIEND CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.   ALL requests are required to be in the Coach Request or Teammate Request field of the player's online registration. Emails cannot be accepted for player-team placement.

May my child play down a grade level?  - No.  Players will not be permitted to play down into a lower grade level.

(2) Requests must also be included in the Special Request/Comments box during the registration process.

Acceptable reasons to request to play up:  to play with sibling (1 grade level only; must be same gender)

Not Accepted/ Approved Reasons:

-- Play with the same/previous season’s team

-- My child needs to play up so he/she can be challenged

Practice Information
Practice times and location are determined by the coach and are limited to a max of two per week.  Attendance at practice is expected but not mandatory.

Game Information
Practices typically begin 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the season.  Weather permitting; each recreational team will play an 8-Game schedule at various locations in the Olentangy School district. Most teams play games on Saturdays, with some games on weekday nights and Sunday afternoons in order to complete all of the scheduled games. OYAA makes every effort to reschedule games' weather-related cancellations if days and field space allow. There are no refunds if all games cannot be rescheduled.

Coaches

We ALWAYS need good coaches! Lack of coaches is the primary reason that players are turned away. Please volunteer, we provide training and support. Register yourself as a coach when you register your child. Coach workshops and on-field clinics will be held in July and August 2019.

Fees (MSSA and HSSA)

* MSSA/HSSA players – the Fee is $95 for both seasons.  OYAA pays a fee for teams to participate in the MSSA and HSSA leagues. This fee is the same for both seasons.
